Since the program’s inception, MGP includes community service as a strong part of its curriculum.

The program teaches students the importance of civic responsibility by requiring participants to volunteer or donate to various nonprofits and community organizations. One of MGP’s most popular community service endeavors is its annual holiday gift drive during the Christmas dinner where all MGP participants and alumni donate gifts to an area homeless shelter. Additionally, MGP participants volunteer for a number of community service events during the weekend over the course of the program year.
